Hey there, my name is Kim. I started Tails & Trails LLC after my cross country move from Long Island, New York to Denver, Colorado in September of 2021. I love dogs and I love the outdoors, so what better excuse to start a dog hiking business? I grew up with dogs my entire life- mostly large breeds but my last pup was a beagle named Beau who was my inspiration for a lot of my work. I attended BOCES in high school for animal care which helped me start my work with animals. From there I've had experience as a bather in multiple grooming salons, I spent a fair amount of my time volunteering at the local animal shelter helping with kennel work, dog walking, feeding, medication distribution, etc. I attended Animal Behavior College in my early 20's, shadowed with a great trainer during that time and graduated as a Certified positive reinforcement dog trainer in 2014.  From there, I ran my own pet care business and provided professional dog walking, dog training and pet boarding/ sitting services on LI. My previous company name was Kim's Pawfect Pet Services LLC. I look forward to meeting you and your pup(s) and provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment for them!
